Professor Vineet Gupta
Vineet Gupta carried out his undergraduate studies (B.Sc. with honors in Chemistry) at Delhi University and his Master's studies (M.Sc. in Chemistry) at Indian Institute of Technology in New Delhi (IIT, Delhi). He pursued his graduate studies at University of Rochester (in the laboratory of Professor Eric T. Kool) and completed his Ph.D. in Chemistry in 1997. Subsequently, he received training in Structural Biology and Biophysics as a Leukemia Research Foundation Post-doctoral Fellow at the Rockefeller University (1997-1999). From 1999-2003, Vineet Gupta worked in the Biotech Industry (at Motorola Life Sciences, at GeneVention, LLC and at PerkinElmer Life Sciences) before joining the Nephrology Division at Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School as a NIH Ruth L. Kirschstein National Research Service Award Fellow (2003-2004). In 2004, Vineet Gupta became an Instructor in Medicine at Harvard Medical School and established his Laboratory of Chemical Biology at Mass General Hospital. He was promoted to Assistant Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School in 2007.
In March 2008, he moved his laboratory to Miami, where he is currently an Assistant Professor of Medicine and Biochemistry and Molecular Biology and the founding Co-Director of the Peggy and Harold Katz Family Drug Discovery Center.
